A New IDEA in the Great Lakes State

MANS is pleased to partner with ADAC to offer training and consultations on Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) services in Michigan. IDEA provides federally funded special education services to nonpublic school students with learning differences.

Accessing and leveraging the full equitable share of IDEA-funded services can be a challenge. To this challenge, there’s a simple solution: knowledge.

  1. Knowledge of how IDEA is supposed to work.
  2. Knowledge of the IDEA student referral process.
  3. Knowledge of the IDEA child find process.

Come to one of three FREE trainings with ADAC to learn more. Each training will be offered from 8:30 AM – 2:30 PM. with light refreshments for breakfast along with lunch. These trainings will:

Provide private school leaders with full understanding of IDEA, so that they can maximize proportionate share funding to serve students with learning differences;
Offer private school leaders with effective ways to utilize the proportionate share funding;
Educate private school leaders about the data and the importance of it;
Review ways to leverage the state’s auxiliary law with IDEA to more effectively serve students with learning differences; and
Provide ADAC with an opportunity to survey private school leaders to collect critical field data.
