MANS Notes – July 2019

Dear MANS Member Schools, Staff, Colleagues, and Friends

We hope you are enjoying your summer. The heat is on here in Lansing. It is a far cry from the rainy and cold beginning of summer that we experienced.

Last month, we spent time reviewing the feedback from the MANS membership survey with the MANS Board as a part of our strategic planning process. Know that we appreciate your feedback as we continuously learn how to best serve member schools.

MANS welcomed fifty school administrators to its annual Law Day on June 27th, and those in attendance heard several excellent presentations on important issues facing private schools with respect to Title IX, employment issues, social media, and student mental health issues. Be sure to save some time on your calendar for June 25, 2020, the next MANS Law Day.

On August 1st, more than twenty-five administrative assistants from MANS member schools will join us for the 2nd annual Creating Pathways. This promises to be another excellent opportunity for growth and development for critical school staff. Know that there is still time to register!

Do not delay in registering for MANS premier professional development event of 2019, the Administrators’ Conference: Building Leadership for Learning, being held at Grand Traverse Resort on October 16-18, 2019. With guidance from Learning Forward, we will be taking a high level view of how to best support professional learning that increases educator effectiveness. You don’t want to miss this one.
