Dear MANS Member Schools, Staff, Colleagues, and Friends

Proverbs 22:6, “Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it.”

Welcome back! As another school year begins, you present a time full of opportunities for the children and families you serve to grow spiritually, academically, and socially in a nurturing and academically challenging environment. We hope that your summer months were filled with relaxation and some time to recharge for the ’19-20 school year.

There is still time to join us for the MANS Administrators’ Conference on October 16-18, 2019. This is a wonderful time to connect with colleagues from all over the state and be reminded of the Christ-centered mission of our schools. This promises to be an exceptional professional development opportunity as we come together to celebrate and learn as educators in Christ.

In partnership with the Michigan Equitable Service Collaborative (MESC), MANS has another wonderful professional development calendar for the coming year. While details are still being finalized, most of the opportunities are outlined in the professional development section of MANS Notes.

Some key dates to note are our Public Policy Day on March 12, 2020, School Law Seminar on June 25, 2020 and Creating Pathways on July 31, 2020 all in Lansing. Also, save the date for the One Michigan One Mission Conference on October 15-16, 2020 in Lansing, which is a partnership of the MANS Education Conference and Expo and the Michigan District, LCMS Professional Church Workers Conference.

Many blessings on the start of your school year.

Blessings,
Brian Broderick
MANS Executive Director
