The Michigan Association of Non-public Schools invites you to its second annual MANS School Law Seminar in Lansing, Michigan. This half-day seminar will provide a legal overview of pertinent topics for non-public schools. Registration is now open but spaces are limited. Registration fee includes luncheon.


Three (3) State Continuing Education Clock Hours (SCECHs) have been approved; applications will be available at the event. The fee is $10 for 3 SCECHs.

ESSA Equitable Participation of Private Schools

Amy will present on the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) and the impact this act has on faith-based schools. She will discuss the rights and responsibilities of non-public schools under the new act.

Developing a Shared Time Agreement
Karen Piper, Bodman PLC
Karen joins us again this year to present a legal overview on developing a shared time agreement. She will cover the ins and outs of what to consider and include in the agreement, as well as the responsibilities of each party.

Employee Relations: Moral Clauses, Social Media Content and Some Practical Guidance for Faith-Based Schools
Conor Dugan, Warner Norcross & Judd LLP
Conor will dive into legal perspectives of dealing with employee use of social media in schools today and also examine moral clauses in employee contracts and how to create detailed language and guidance.
